Control Diabetes For Life - 2008

Diabetes is a serious problem ... but research shows that if you keep your blood sugar close to normal you can reduce your chances of serious health problems. Take charge of what you eat. Get regular physical activity. Test your blood sugar. Take your medication as prescribed and learn as much as you can about diabetes. Range Beef Cow Symposium XX



Fort Collins is pleased to be hosting the Range Beef Cow Symposium XX. It is sponsored by the Cooperative Extension Service and animal science departments of South Dakota State University, Colorado State University, the University of Wyoming and the University of Nebraska. The biennial symposium has a reputation of being an excellent educational program, offering practical production management information since the first symposium in Chadron, Neb., in 1969.

NCR SARE Farmer and Rancher Grants

The Sustainable Agriculture Research and Education (SARE, for short) grants are designed to improve profitability, stewardship, and the quality of life for farmers and ranchers. The USDA’s North Central Region (NCR) SARE program is made up of 12 states. The NCR SARE has distributed over $30 million worth of grants to farmers and ranchers exploring sustainable agricultural systems.
