17th Annual Central Plains Irrigation Conference & Exposition

Irrigation management and performance will be the main topics of the 17th annual Central Plains Irrigation Conference and Equipment Exposition in Sterling, Colorado, Feb. 16-17. Speakers from Nebraska, Colorado, Kansas and the USDA will present management and technical recommendations to help farmers get the most benefit from their irrigation. Main program topics include: drought status; water regulations and policy; salinity management; water conservation; crop residue and water management; irrigation management with alternative crops; irrigation management with corn; center pivot sprinkler performance; and subsurface drip irrigation. A panel of farmers will add their insights on irrigation management and on-farm issues.
